Frequently asked questions
Where is my data stored?
Your lists, tasks, and prep selections are saved locally on your iPhone or iPad. We do not sync your checklist content to our servers. Back up your device regularly, and use Import / Export to save an Excel (.xlsx) copy.
How do I back up or restore my lists?
On the Task Lists tab, open Import / Export in the toolbar → Export All Lists to create an Excel file. To restore, use Import Lists. Import replaces all lists and products on the device, so export first.
How do weekly, monthly, and yearly lists work?
- Weekly — tasks grouped by day of week (Monday–Sunday).
- Monthly — tasks grouped by day of the month (1–31).
- Yearly — tasks grouped by month, then day of month.
Pick the schedule when adding or editing a task. You can enable Reminders for scheduled tasks.
How do Print and SMS work?
Select one or more lists (or individual tasks inside a list), then tap Print for a PDF checklist or SMS to open Messages with the checklist as text. SMS requires an iPhone that can send text messages. Print uses AirPrint or Save to Files from the system print sheet.
Reminders are not appearing
- Enable notifications for Restaurant Task List in Settings → Notifications.
- Turn on Reminder when editing a weekly, monthly, or yearly task.
- Check Do Not Disturb and Focus modes on your device.
I deleted a built-in list or task by mistake
Built-in lists cannot be deleted, but tasks can be removed. If you imported a file or need to reset, use Import / Export with a previous export, or reinstall the app (subscription can be restored — see below).
